Large Surface Land clearing
The 1405 is a 5-tine plow, cutting 3 metres (10ft) wide and capable of deep ripping to 750mm (30") deep. A very gradual angle of approach on the tine creates a >boiling= effect on the soil as it passes over the ripper shank. This is accentuated by fitting a twisted ripper point, curved to direct the clay to either side of the tine and create an even mixing effect across the whole machine. Ripper shanks are of a stump-jump design, to allow use of the machine in newly cleared forest country, or grazing land with old stumps still in place.
It is suited for use with a 95E Challenger tractor (410hp) at a working speed of 6-7kph.
