RS Rice Huller
APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY FOR AFRICA
The Rice Hullers are manufactured from threated, ribbed pressed steel. The heart of the machine, the rotor, made out of high wear resistant cast iron. The Rotor shape has been developed with the aid of modern computer techniques. The results are a very efficient high capacity machine.
The rotorshaft is easily interchangeable. The sieve is made of special, manganese steel and therefor very long lasting.
The monoblock chassis is very compact and easy to transport. The diesel engine is mounted on a separate chassis on flexible anti-vibration pads. A guard protects the transmission belts and avoids the risks of accidents.
Operation
The diesel or the electric motor drives the rotor through a V-belt transmission. The rotorspeed is variable between 700-1.000 RPM. The degree of milling is controlled by the outlet slide, which regulates the time the rice remains in the machine.
The severity of the process is regulated by the huller blade, being adjusted to suit the variety and condition of the rice to be treated. This way the breakage is kept to a minimum. Working, servicing and cleaning is very simple.
